Which night is Laylat al-Qadr?
The Qur’an names Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Decree, in Surah al-Qadr (97) without giving its date. Hadith place it in the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd ones, and many communities hold their main gathering on the 27th night. An Islamic night comes before its day, so the 27th night is the evening of 26 Ramadan 1448 AH.

Why the date can differ by one day
An Islamic month begins with the new crescent moon. The dates on this page come from the Umm al-Qura calendar, a calculated calendar published in Saudi Arabia, and the app uses the same calculation. Many mosques and national bodies announce Ramadan and the two Eids only after the crescent has been seen, locally or elsewhere, or follow a different calculation, so the date they announce can be one day earlier or later than the date here.
If your mosque or community announces a different date, follow that announcement.
