Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected on Sunday 16 May 2027, the day after the Day of Arafah.

The days of Eid al-Adha

The Eid prayer is held after sunrise on Sunday 16 May; each mosque sets its own time. The days of Tashreeq, 11 to 13 Dhu al-Hijjah, fall on 17–19 May by this calculation. Schools of law differ on whether the sacrifice (qurbani) may be made on all four days or on the first three; ask your mosque.

The day before: Day of Arafah 2027.

Why the date can differ by one day

An Islamic month begins with the new crescent moon. The dates on this page come from the Umm al-Qura calendar, a calculated calendar published in Saudi Arabia, and the app uses the same calculation. Many mosques and national bodies announce Ramadan and the two Eids only after the crescent has been seen, locally or elsewhere, or follow a different calculation, so the date they announce can be one day earlier or later than the date here.

If your mosque or community announces a different date, follow that announcement.
